Today’s teaching explains how our lives are to be lived in God’s presence. Paul details the difference between a vessel of honor and dishonor. As we ended last week’s message, the scripture told us that if we are naming the name of Christ as Lord of our lives, we are to depart from iniquity.
Sin influences purity of heart. The heart is what manifests God’s holiness or our sin. We honor Christ by the meditations of our heart, and as a result, our lives will be used to honor Him. If the heart is corrupt and living in sinful ways, we will dishonor Christ as His vessel.
May we yield to Christ every moment so He is magnified and honored in our lives so others can meet Him through our lives. We are the vessels that God uses to bring people to Himself.
