This Sunday we take a break from Thessalonians to reflect on the Birth of Christ, the One who made Himself of no reputation. Jesus was born to be a servant of man. His entire life was given over to help the human race find the way out of the destructive forces of sin and death. As we reflect on His life, we are made aware of His selfless nature and His ability to put everyone before His own desires. Jesus made it clear from the day of a His Birth He has a plan to save His people from their sins. Somehow in giving His life away for us, He taught us the way to fulfillment in our lives: putting the good of others before ourselves.
May this Christmas be different as we gather with our families. That our entire heart is to see others be touched with God’s love and for us to be instruments of bringing joy to others, like Jesus esteeming others better than ourselves.
