Matthew 5:1-11 – The Beatitudes: Part One

The Beatitudes are the teachings of Jesus on the true meaning of being a Christian. When we read these nine principles of being blessed, and happy in our daily lives, we learn our heart needs to become like the heart of Jesus. The teaching is deep and goes to the core of why we have so many human self-centered attitudes that circumvent the life of Christ who dwells in the hearts of believers. We need Grace, and the power of the Holy Spirit, to begin living these Beatitudes. What a blessing that we all can be taught by Jesus Himself as He lived this way of living and desires us to live this way as we follow Him and reach others with the Gospel.
